Kids in bed, wife at book club and curiosity got the better of me. The beer has only been in the bottle 3 days....a mere baby. But, I recalled the last one bottled, a shorty; little over half a bottle. What would be the harm in popping it open for a taste? In the name of science perhaps???? So I did. When the cap came off-- the bottle fizzed; when it was poured it had about a half inch head; and the taste? A little yeasty since this one has the most sediment, but eminently drinkable!!!! Delicious in fact. See attached pictures fellas. The tough part now will be having the discipline to let the rest sit for 3 weeks.

I started catching up on the progress of the beer and found myself at the Invasive Maneuvers blog. OMG!! I can't believe what all of you have been through. I had no idea. Somehow the word just doesn't seem to get out to the wilderness in Paducah very well. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Renee, Cassidy, the dog and........whatever else you might need.
ReplyDelete5 weeks since the last post? Understandably, thatbat has had other things on his mind but not a peep out of his cohorts? Is the beer any good? Or did you have your stomachs pumped in the emergency room?
